Four soldiers were killed and 7 injured in a suicide attack in Pakistan on Tuesday. Two Naik rank jawans are also involved in the attack. The incident took place in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Pakistani army and intelligence agency ISI are investigating the case.
The Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that the perpetrators of the attack would not be spared. According to Pakistan Vernacular Media, 105 soldiers have lost their lives in the terrorist attack in the first 3 months of 2022.
Explosion happened and soldiers were killed
The Pakistani media wing reported that a three-wheeler rickshaw in North Waziristan came packed with a bomb and rammed into the vehicle of the security forces. There was a huge explosion and many soldiers were killed. The soldiers have been identified as Lance Naik Shahzaib, Lance Naik Sajjad, Sepoy Umar and Sepoy Khurram Narowal. Two civilians were also injured in this attack.
PM expressed grief
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed grief over the suicide attack on the military convoy. He assured to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country. Condemning the attack, he said that the thinking of terrorists will not be allowed to succeed.
There was also a suicide attack on 4 July
A military convoy was passing through the Miramshah area of North Waziristan on July 4. During this, a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle attacked the convoy. 10 security personnel were injured in this attack.
On May 30 too, a bike-borne assailant attacked a convoy of soldiers in the Razmak area. 2 jawans and 2 children were injured in this. Earlier in April, 7 soldiers of the Pakistani Army were martyred near the Pak-Afghan border area.
